Beginning Sept 1 2009 Lionel Inc. completely restructured the warranty repair terms and procedures. Items sent to us for warranty repair must be purchased from Wholesaletrains or an Any Other Authorized Value Added Dealer.
The dealer name must be found on the receipt. Be advised - If the item was purchased
from E-Bay, Amazon.com or any other Unauthorized On Line Discounters, Train Shows or through
any other non-authorized dealer or re-seller the item is not eligible for warranty
service through us.. Please Check the link below to see if the dealer is listed. If there is an issue with this, please be advised that this is
stated in the Lionel warranty policy or you may contact Lionel. If
the item was not purchased at an Authorized Value Added Dealer the
repair is not applicable for a warranty reimbursement and the customer
will be charged for shipping, labor and parts.
Shipping charges on items returned for repair are the purchasers responsibility. In all cases we suggest signature delivery service to assure the item was received by our staff. We are not responsible for loss in shipment. Any items submitted for
warranty repair should be sent to your closest Lionel Authorized Service
Facility unless you wish to pay the return shipping.
