What is MAP? - MAP is Minimum Advertised Price.
MAP price is the price that a manufacturer has requested that a product not be advertised for sale below.
This price policy may apply to some or all items from that manufacturer
MAP is not the price for wich the product must sell for. If a dealer violates the manufacturers price policy the manufacturer will usually discontinue offering further products to the dealer. To offer our customers the best possible price we have instituted the Gold Club arrangement. By logging in as a club member you will see the lower price as well as the MAP price as represented in the help section shown below.
In the past the practice of MAP pricing may have been considered vertical price fixing and therefore a violation of federal Anti-Trust Laws. But a recent supreme court ruling has reversed some parts of that law making it legal under certain circumstances. For more information you may be interested in this MAP Price Article. In the new browser you just opened Click on the "Buyers
Club" link shown in the red circle then
scroll down to the next screen.
The window below will open -
New members : type your e-mail address in the box next to the red arrow
and click the "check eligibility" button.
Existing members: type your e-mail address and password into the boxes
below the "check eligibility" button
and you are done. Now you will see the club prices as you shop the site.
New members will need to scroll down to the next screen for club setup.
This Screen will now open if you are logging in for the first time as a new
member -
Click the "Join Today" button at the red arrow to proceed to your
personal club member page.
Now scroll down to the next screen.
Below is your personal membership page. Review this page and make sure the information
is
complete and correct. Fill in the missing information next to the red dots if
needed. This page
is where you will come any time you need to update your account information.
You can also access
it just by clicking on the "My Account" link shown at the top of each
page.
When you finish this just hit the "Submit" button at the bottom of
the page and your done!
Scroll down 1 more screen to see what an item should look like if you are logged
in correctly.
Each time you click on an item that has a club discount the club price will
be displayed below
the regular price in orange as seen on the screen below. Its that easy!
